Ruth is married to David, who planted The Lakes Evangelical Church, on the Central Coast, 18 years ago. As it has grown Ruth has been involved in serving this church family in many ways, including training and mentoring ministry trainees and volunteers. She counts it a privilege to have such a long and deep involvement as part of the church and the wider community. Ruth loves spending time with her 3 adult children and 2 daughters in law.

Ruth enjoys hospitality and connecting groups of women together to encourage one another as they pray, love and serve one another and grow through God’s word. She and David have been involved in FIEC, now a denomination, from its first days as a support network for church planters and their wives. As a professional supervisor, Ruth supervises and coaches a range of ministry workers.
