Accommodation

Our Distinctive

The distinctive of Moore’s full-time programs is the integration of a deep, broad and sustained immersion in the text of Scripture with attention to Christian character and ministry skills development, in the context of a residential community of teachers and students, and in partnership with local churches.

Therefore, Moore is designed as a residential College and ideally all full-time students would live on campus for the duration of their studies, subject to student numbers and availability. In the event that accommodation is not available or suitable at one of our campuses, students are encouraged to live as close to College as possible.

The College has housing campuses in Newtown, Croydon Park and Parramatta.

Married Housing

It is a requirement that married students live in the Moore College community for a minimum of 2 years.

Married students should therefore apply for College-owned housing. However as there are a limited number of houses available, some incoming first year students will need to make alternative arrangements for their housing. Part time students may apply for accommodation, however they will only be allocated after full time students are accommodated.

Rental prices for married student accommodation vary with the classification of the property. Rental contracts apply. Appointments are necessary to sign leases and pick up keys.

Any queries about accommodation for married couples or families should be sent to housing@moore.edu.au or call 02 9577 9999.

Single Accommodation

All single students are expected to reside in College accommodation for the duration of their course. The vast majority of our single students reside in John Chapman House at the Newtown campus. Single students residing at John Chapman House also have food catered by the College Kitchen for most meals.

Students may move in the week before Orientation starts. However, the College kitchen will not be open and you will need to self-cater. Meals are available for first year students from the commencement of Orientation, starting with breakfast for residents of single accommodation.

Further information on arrangements is set out in the Guide to John Chapman House TODO.

To apply for a residency please email accommodation@moore.edu.au or call 02 9577 9999.
